Haori
A haori is a shorter jacket that is traditionally worn over the full length kimono. Haori are designed so that the two sides don’t meet at the front. There is a gap of approximately 3" which the himo ties are meant to span. The gap is meant to reveal the lovely kimono and obi underneath however in the West, haori go with anything from jeans to a little black dress. With their simple, almost unstructured shape, they give real elegance to the wearer. Clothaholics new website has a wide selection of Haori, Japanese fabrics, and Kimono fabrics.
