With childhood obesity such an increasing problem, the PTA decided upon a course of action by which the students of the school would receive some precautionary information about the dangers and risks of childhood obesity.

We researched the subject online and found a brilliant website called globesity.org.uk. Globesity is an independent obesity specialist, providing information and programs to share their knowledge with others.

We felt that their program targeting 8 to 11-year-olds would be ideal to effectively convey the important message of the dangers of obesity. Their consultant was very good with the students, delivering a comprehensive and attention-catching presentation, accompanied by an informative workbook for each pupil, plus hands-on props and classroom games to further enhance the message.

The teachers and parents were all very pleased with the service that Globesity provided and have continued to convey the message, seeing a definitive change in many of the students’ attitudes and outlooks.
